Know Which Ice Cream reveals your personality

August 21st, 2008 by joygrace

Vanilla. What comes to mind when you think about vanilla? sweet, maybe romantic, maybe people who like Vanilla are not as boring as you may think. maybe they are intuitive and extremely loyal.

Chocolate chip. When I think of chocolate chip I think of someone off beat a bit, fun and creative. They may have a tendency to be a bit possessive.

Strawberry. Those who love this flavor should be sweet and generous. Maybe a bit shy but once comfortable, watch out!

Chocolate. Chocolate lovers match well with those who are seductive and sensual. They are usually lucky in life and outgoing.

Coffee. When I think of coffee I think, dramatic and adventurous. I also think passion!

Overcome Shyness

August 19th, 2008 by joygrace

Everyone feels shy sometimes, but being too shy can hamper many aspects of your life.

1. Determine why you’re shy in the first place. For example, are you scared of what someone might say about your physical appearance? Remember, there’s an underlying reason for how you react in situations.

2. Act as if you’re not shy. In private, behave as if you’re oozing confidence. Hold your chin up, stick your chest out, add a swagger to your walk and speak firmly. It may seem ridiculous, but you will see results when you’re out in public.

3. Practice making eye contact and smiling in your interactions with others. Strike up casual conversations with strangers about weather or current events.

4. Look your best. One way to improve self-consciousness is to always look good and limit ways you can be self-critical.

5. Lower your fear of rejection by imagining the worst possible outcome. If you approach someone, they may say “no” or they may just walk away. Absolutely everybody has been rejected at some point, but no one has to dwell on it.

6. Look and learn. Watching friends or even strangers who aren’t shy is a good way to learn some tips first-hand.

7. Feel positive about yourself, don’t get frustrated and have fun. Remember, the real goal is to find someone who will like you for who you are.

How to Give Your Pet a Monthly Home Exam

August 18th, 2008 by joygrace

me and my turtle pet Twinkle…

Preventative maintenance and keeping your pet healthy starts with you. Knowing how to perform a simple monthly home exam and the red flags to look for can help minimize vet visits—as well as let you know if one is necessary. Here are some things to look for.

Step 1

Check your pet’s weight; it should remain stable (within a few pounds) from month to month. If the feeding schedule stays consistent and you notice that your pet “looks too skinny” or “looks too fat” it is probably a good idea to schedule a vet exam.

Step 2

Brush your pet’s fur (or part with your fingers) in the opposite direction of growth to check the skin for redness or irritation. A black, crusty residue could be a sign of fleas.

Step 3

Check your pet’s coat, ears, eyes and paws for burrs, ticks and any other foreign objects that might be trapped. If your pet spends a lot of time outdoors, it’s a good idea to do it more often.

Step 4

Run your hands all over your pet’s skin to feel for lumps, bumps or growths. If you come across a lump or growth, check for more. Notice whether it is hard or soft and if it causes the pet pain when you touch it. It could be a number of things: bug bite, fatty tissue, wart, cyst, skin sore, callous, foreign object stuck under the skin or a malignant or benign tumor. Report any lumps, bumps or growths to your vet.

Step 5

Use gentle pressure to feel around the base of your pet’s jaw, in front of the shoulder blades, behind the “elbows” of the front and back legs, and where the thighs meet the abdomen. Note if there is anything prominent or if there appears to be lymph node pain.

Step 6

Observe your pet’s nose to check for roughness, peeling, pigmentation changes or unusual discharge.

Step 7

Check the ears for redness and inflammation. Look for hair loss around the ears, odor, abnormal discharge, crusting and dark brown or black debris. Also observe if your dog winces when the ear is touched. These are all common signs of ear infection or ear mites.

Step 8

Pull your pet’s top eyelid back. If the white of the eye appears yellow or orange, or if it looks pink and irritated (a sign of conjunctivitis), consult your vet.

Step 9

Examine your pet’s teeth for tartar and the gum line for growths. Tartar is normally a yellow-brown layer on the teeth near the gum line.

happy birthday to me

August 9th, 2008 by joygrace

Happy Birthday
A love poem
I’m not sure you want me
to give you a poem like this
for your birthday –
a poem which says I need
to bury myself in the center of your heart
and swim there like a mermaid.

I pretend to do ordinary things like
birthday cards
but all the cells in my body are
throwing a tantrum because
you’re not here with me
even when I open the dishwasher
or the blind
my body is aching because I’m not bending for you
and my skin shouts angrily to the angels
because your hands are not touching me

I am completely crazy
crazy for you
and because it’s your birthday
I try to fold my love
in half to go in an envelope
like an ordinary ‘love from’
but I may as well fold the sky
which for me
is held aloft
only by your kisses.

i though that was it!

July 2nd, 2008 by joygrace

Not only me but mostly of the people wants to be educated or wants to have a better education so that they can get better job after graduating in such corse but how can this be happened if you dont have money budget for your education???? it needs effort, money and brains to get the quality of education that have want..

I have this experience that I will never forget… One day I opened my gmail account, check my email and look for some advertisers for my blog I need to earn money for school fees and requirment. I was wondering on my online contacts the name ____________ so I chatted it there and asked if he is an advetisers who gaves reviews for the bloggers and pay them… but he is not… well that’s okey for me upon chatting we shared things that we didnt expected until we talked about being CHRISTIAN… Well we have the same itentity spiritualy eventhough we are not in the same country but i think we both have same spirit and same beliefs…

I shared to him my difficulties in school, and he mentioned on me that he is helping people who wants to go to school… and he offered me about that thing… I was so happy to hear that not in my life asking me to help me in my studies financially… so he told me to send my papers to him…

So the next morning I seeked help with my classmate who have camera cellphone and took pictures with my documents and papers… and after that I went to internet cafe and send those things to him…

It tooks how many days before I got his answers.. I was so nervous and happy about those things cause at last I can really finished my studies with that person who will help me.. I keep my trust on the Lord that this is now the time that I can persue with my studies..

Until the day has come and I got his answer saying that he cant help me because my papers were scam… Upon reading his email that my papers were scam tears from my eyes slowly fell I am very angry to my self because I am hoping of that thing which is very impossible… thing that will change my life as me…

I dont know why It came out that those papers are scam infact I can not do that thing to make other people fool because of money… I am not after the money but I am after woth the help he is willing to share to me…

I know God has a reason why I feel this thing and why my life is this… But still I am so thankful eventhough I dont have Good life, good future.. but onething forsure if God grant me his blessing and I can get well job in the near future I want to help those people who are just like me… and never under estimate those thing…. but then I was so thankful on the other hand that once in my life I meet those person who have the same spirit with me.. God bless him

special experience II

June 25th, 2008 by joygrace

Now I am living on my own, trying to work out things on my own and trying to be stronger  as people judge me without knowing the whole me…

I need to be strong and continue my studies without them or without thier help… eventhough they are treating me like this but still I know there are still people who believe in me that I am in the right place…

I am so thankful that this person still belives in me and never leave me in this kind of stuation eventhough she is not on my side but still I am so happy that she comforts me through chatting and emailing… she knows the pain that i fell inside the bitterness that I feel and the lonelyness that no one can understand..

When I woke up this morning I am happy that I feel this pain it simply means I am still alive cause I feel pain.. and this pain realize me a lot of things… things that only this experience can tell me what is real, true and not…

It’s really complicated.. things makes me complicated but still I need to move on.. I have still my secret weapon.. who is HE??? My GOD… who lift me up in this time..

Now I know the feeling of doing school works alone, going to mall alone, eating alone during lunch break, entering the classroom alone and most of all closing my eyes and ears to the people around me the time when I sit on my chair and the class starts…

I know time will come people around me will know the real me and totally change my image into good… I dont want to be like this, people treating me unequally… I dont diserve this…

I am willing to wait for the day that people understand the real me and reaize that i am not of what they think of…

special lesson that I’ve experience with those whom you treated as “FRIENDS?”

June 24th, 2008 by joygrace

They said college is the most exciting and enjoy thing in college… but for me it is not! it is my worst thing ever happened to me….

Sometimes I thought I really found the so called “true friends” can understand on you whenever you need somebody to lean and to talk to.. who never leave you alone in times of trouble.. during your ups and downs they are always there for you… but my experience they are only with me during my ups but never on my down…

You can never explain the feeling to being alone and loney, of being rejected of those people whom you called “FRIENDS”… I think for them it is so easy to reject somebody because they have still friends whom they can share their feelings… At this point of time the pain that I feel inside is so hard… I dont know where will I put my self and I dont know how will I face tomorrow… It is very hard.. going to school everyday seeing those poeple who neglected and rejected you, it’s so hard…

I treating them as my “sisters”, and letting them “in” in my life… Life is too unfair! Sometimes i can say to my self “I will not go to school anymore seeing them is so hard”… but still I have to continue the fight and prove to my self that I am strong… months to go and I can finished my studies… the best thing that I can do now is to focus on my work and never trust anybody…

Eventhough I face this circustances but still I am happy that I have with me my best friend and my boyfriend who understand me and never leave me at this point of time..

Not all the timesgoing to school is fun… We need to feel the bad and good things on those passers who in and out into our lives..

I can really say that most of the people who are living in this world is PLASTIC.. they never understand, they keep on judging people and most of all they are only good when you are infornt of them but if when you turns back… they simply kill you…

Dont put your trust to somebody!! or else you will experience what I am experiencing right now!
